Baylor University

Over the past four years I have been involved with many organizations and activities outside of my academic journey.  From performing with Sing Alliance in a Broadway-style student production, to being a leader within Baylor's International Justice Mission chapter, to going on an amazing mission trip with my church to Edinburg, TX, my experience at Baylor has been enriched with many extra-curricular experiences.  I have learned so much about compassion and connecting well with all different types of people.  I remember a wonderful part of going on the mission trip was playing with these two young children who were brothers at the park.  We didn't speak the same language at the time, but we built a quick bond nonetheless.  I was heartbroken when I had to leave!  I prayed for their parents who were struggling financially and spiritually before I left.  I learned more than ever that day that we are all inherently the same, connected by the same struggles, fears, and desires which only Jesus can meet.

I have also learned much about connecting with people through the ProSales program at Baylor University.  I came in as a freshman knowing I wanted to major in entrepreneurship because my parents had owned their own construction business during my childhood, and I loved the idea of making money doing what you love.  Also the entrepreneurship program is ranked #3 in the nation!  During my sophomore year, however, I learned more about the necessity to communicate well with customers and know how to actually sell your product.  I met up with the dynamic ProSales team and knew instantly I wanted to be a part of the program!  I decided to major in both ProSales and Entrepreneurship as very important, complementary fields.
